About the Editor

Ilona Meagher is an independent Illinois-based online writer, new media developer and former 15-year employee of a major U.S. airline.

Currently completing a Journalism degree at Northern Illinois University, she's begun her next project: Airline 911: The Business and Psychology of Aviation, Labor, and Travel in Times of Change.

As editor of PTSD Combat: Winning the War Within and author of the book Moving a Nation to Care: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and America's Returning Troops, her work reached its zenith in December 2007 with testimony before Congress at a House Veterans Affairs Committee hearing.

She hopes to make equal inroads in covering the U.S. airline industry in the post-September 11 era.
